The Rowlett Youth Sports Federation began offering seasonal sports programs to youths 4 - 18 years of age throughout its community in 1996. Since its inception, the organization has reached out to youths in the area of track and field, basketball, and has since introduce its football, cheerleading and dance programs to the community and surrounding areas.

The organization has proved to be outstanding when it comes to competitive sports and coaching. All programs are offered seasonally, and most of the athletes have returned consistently due to the likeness and popularity of the organization.

The focus of the program is to provide enrichment, introduce skills and educational development, work with youths on becoming productive citizens, as well as promote a drive for winning.

The staff of coaches varies from all occupational levels, and are hand-picked by the directors of the program. All coaches work voluntarily to provide the youths of the programs with proper training techniques. Over 80% of the coaching staff has been with the program since its' beginning, which is important in maintaining growth and consistency. Each coach dutifully makes it a priority to develop a professional repor with his/her athletes, ensuring a quality and satisfactory season.

The summer track and field program has competed with the Texas Amateur Athletic Federation, TAAF, since the very beginning. It's growth has been tremendous as parents, and athletes realize the limitless possibilities that come from maintaining a routine athletic regime during the summer. The RYSF also recognizes outstanding athletes as well, and is committed to providing more intensive and aggressive challenges, by having them compete in programs associated with the Junior Olympics, and USA competitions. It is a launch pad for excelling in other sports areas as well, such as building endurance and stamina for football, cheerleading, basketball etc.

All athletes and parents are welcome, and encouraged to provide the organization with any talents, and skills they may have. This is a family based organization that enjoys knowing the youth will succeed.

All participants are rewarded at the end of the program with certificates, awards, and banquets at awards ceremonies, to acknowledge and recognize their personal achievements.
